Type Ia supernovae have been used to discover the acceleratedഀ
expansion of the Universe and gained Nobel Prize; however, whether theirഀ
progenitors involve one white dwarf in a binary system or two white dwarfs inഀ
a binary system is unknown.  If a surviving stellar companion of the supernovaഀ
progenitor can be found, the former scenario can be affirmed.  We have usedഀ
the Type Ia supernova remnants in the Large Magellanic Clouds to studyഀ
problems associated with Type Ia supernovae, as in crime scene investigationഀ
(CSI).  This talk reports our work and preliminary results.
