Launched by the MediaTek Foundation , Girls! TECH Action program introduced the “Future Design Workshop for Girls in Technology,” dedicated to increasing girl’s participation in technology and STEM fields and inspiring more girls to explore diverse career paths.

Future Design Workshop for Girls in Technology — University Session(2025/05/21)
On a Wednesday just before finals week, I went to the MediaTek headquarters in Hsinchu to join the Girls! TECH Action University Session.
During the workshop, I not only toured the headquarters but also gained insights and experiences that go far beyond what we usually learn in class. Through the s’ sharing and Q&A, I realized more clearly that women in technology can pursue diverse career paths while demonstrating strong competitiveness. What inspired me the most was that they all shared one thing in common: confidence — belief that they can achieve their goals and the courage to try.
Interestingly, my roommate that day turned out to be my current roommate’s high school classmate! This unexpected connection brought even more joy and surprise to the day. Meeting such wonderful peers made the journey more meaningful and amazing!
One of the most memorable moments was watching the video “Run Like a Girl”, especially the line:
“Let’s run like a girl!”
This message deeply resonated with me. Girls should not be confined by societal frameworks or stereotypes. Instead, we should believe in ourselves and boldly live out the vision of who we truly want to be.
LET’S MAKE #LIKEAGIRL MEAN AMAZING THINGS!
I am sincerely grateful to the MediaTek Foundation for organizing this program. It gave us an early opportunity to better understand career paths in the tech industry, and it encouraged me to be braver in exploring different possibilities.

Future Design Workshop for Girls in Technology — High School Session(2025/08/02-03)
I am truly grateful to Edie for inviting me back to Girls! TECH Action High School session as a senior for the university session.
During the event, I not only shared my own learning journey but also had the chance to hear inspiring stories from mentors across different fields. Their stories and passion deeply inspired me. I was also impressed by the high school participants in the program—they had the opportunity to visit fascinating places, such as research labs, and showed great courage in expressing their ideas and asking questions. Accompanying them on this journey felt like revisiting my own high school days.
Lastly, I sincerely thank the MediaTek Foundation for organizing such a wonderful program, and I am glad to have met an amazing team and fellow seniors to share this experience with!
